This is the website i have been creating for my art project, i really need to finish it haha

My three artists are:

• Dorthy Napangardi (Indigenous and contemporary Artist)
• Picasso/Mill (light) (historical, collaboration)
• Shaun Tan (contemporary, australian)

ARTIST ONE: Dorothy Napngardi

The daughter of Jeannie Lewis Napururrla and Paddy Lewis Japanangka, born in the 1950s, in Mina Mina.

While she had little formal schooling, she was well-versed in the Jukurrpa narratives, or the Dreamtime narratives, and had a deep knowledge of her country. Her father was alo a senior law-giver. Dorothy grew up in the bush with no exposure to white men until her family moved to the Yuendumu settlement.

I chose Dorothy Napangardi because of her unique monochromatic pallete and the interesting emphasis on shape and implied line. The artwork that I chose of hers is called Sandhills, 2009.

I chose Shaun Tan as my contemporary artist due to many facotrs; nostalgia, love for his works, his unique style and his ability to convey so much in one image.
